I've Been the Engineer in the Customer's Office at Midnight
Now I run a recruiting firm that finds the Forward Deployed Engineers who can handle that night, and the customer meeting the next morning.
Our Story
I was a Forward Deployed Engineer. I sat with customers who didn't know what they wanted yet, scoped the work, wrote the code that got them live and stayed until it worked. The code was never the hard part. The customer was.
Then FDE roles exploded, and I watched companies struggle to fill them. Recruiters sent strong engineers who froze in front of customers, great communicators who couldn't ship and solutions engineers with "FDE" freshly added to their LinkedIn. Nobody tested for both halves, because nobody running the search had done the job.
So I started a firm that tests for both. I'm on every search, and nobody reaches your shortlist until they've passed the customer half.

Four Rules We Don't Bend
One Job, Done Properly
We don't fill sales roles on Monday and data roles on Tuesday. We recruit Forward Deployed Engineers and the people who deploy beside them. Nothing else. So we know the market, which titles mean something and where the good people are.
Honest Over Agreeable
If a candidate isn't right, we'll say so. If your role is set up to fail, we'll say that too, before the search starts.
With You After the Offer
Our job isn't done when the offer is signed. We check in after your FDE's first customer go-live and help you plan the next hire.
Straight With Candidates
Every candidate gets real feedback, win or lose. The FDE world is small, and we plan to be in it for a long time.
